Many liberals get offended by Fox News programming because it provides a different point of view than CNN, NBC and the rest. A number of liberals spoke out about how offended they were by a segment of the popular Fox & Friends morning show, where host Jon Scott spoke out sharply against comments made by a Hollywood actor.
One of the stars of television hit “Homeland”, Mandy Patinkin, said that some people were angry about how the show described Muslims and that they were working to change the perception of them by presenting them in a positive light. “Particularly in season six, we have tried to be part of the cure, not part of the problem… A different story-line where we’re helping these people and a story-line that shows in this case, in this year, in this season, that maybe it’s the––and it is––the white men in government and the military establishment that are the bad guys, not the Muslim community.” Said Patinkin.
Patinkin got trashed for his statement by Jon Scott from Fox News with a powerful message. “They’re going to run the Boston marathon tomorrow, right? Do we remember who the bombers of the Boston marathon were? I mean, just an aside to the Muslim community, if you don’t want to be portrayed in a negative light, maybe don’t burn people alive and set off bombs and things like that.”, commented Jon.
What is your opinion on Jon Scott’s comment? Did he go too far, or he was right?
